GUATEMALAN COFFEE
Guatemalan coffee is unique - experts call it "the drink with smoke".
That's because the soil in which the coffee trees grow contains a layer of ash left over from volcanic activity. There are also notes of citrus, flowers and spices.
Compagnia Dell'Arabica "Guatemala" is a pure Arabica coffee, balanced and aromatic, harmoniously combining floral, citrus and chocolate notes. Guatemala beans have been awarded the ''Slow Food'' and ''Single Origin'' Seals, which means they are of the highest quality, grown using traditional methods. This exquisite drink uses beans from a single harvest and a single growing area.
Both the quality and the authenticity of the origin are guaranteed by Compagnia dell 'Arabica, which selects only the best Arabica varieties for its collection.
The Huehuetenango coffee-growing area is located in north-western Guatemala, on the Mexican border, at the foot of Central America's highest non-volcanic mountain range, the Cuhumatanes. These plantations are located at altitudes of between 850 and 3 700 metres, where they have access to a wide variety of ecosystems, from humid subtropics to pine forests. This is one of the most suitable locations in the country for coffee cultivation. The coffees from this area have a full aroma and good acidity. The drink is balanced and aromatic, harmoniously combining floral, citrus and chocolate notes. The pleasant acidity and rich flavour will not leave you indifferent.
